If personal pet contracts an illness from a foster pet, we will not cover the expense to treat your pet. We are Orlando foster parents seeking to spread accurate and helpful information about foster care. Foster Rechecks - Foster parents are expected to transport the pets to the Animal Services clinic for rechecks every two weeks. Rechecks are on appointment basis in an effort to best serve the foster parent and ensure service as quick as possible. Foster rechecks are offered in the afternoon each day of the week.

We do not reimburse for treatments provided at private veterinary clinics. If you have any pets of your own, we ask that they be up to date on vaccines. You will also need an area of your home to be able to isolate your fosters from personal pets when necessary. If a personal pet contracts an illness from a foster pet, we will not cover the expense to treat your pet.

The interested adopters will then report to Animal Services to complete the paperwork. Animal Services is pleased to offer a foster care program that places pets in temporary homes until they are ready for adoption, saving thousands of lives every year. The foster program is for pets that are sick, injured, in need of socialization skills and/or are too young for adoption. Fostering a dog is taking care of him/her until we can find him/her a loving furever home, which depending on the dog, averages between 2 weeks and 4 weeks. All of our foster homes do need to be located in the Orlando area, as we pay for all medical care and grooming. As long as you can provide care, shelter and love, you can be animal foster parent.
